Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born 19th August, 1965 is an American actress. Her most well-known role is her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. After the seventh season Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald, an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and has said she takes part in Passover seders.
